Showtime Aims To Break Profitability Barrier This Year
Middle Eastpay-TV satellite operator Showtime expects to become profitable in 2003. The operator, which has around 250,000 subscribers in markets throughout the Middle East, hopes to consolidate its already strong position in the region.
Showtime CEO Peter Einstein told SATELLITE TODAY: “We have been building this business for six years brick by brick. We have not saturated these markets. We have been able to successfully manage the cost base in conjunction with the growth of revenue in subscribers and that has been a significant achievement. Now, we are at the point where all the pieces are in place. It is time to drive it as hard as we can based on the foundations we have built.”
An exclusive interview with Showtime CEO, Peter Einstein can be found in the next edition of Interspace.
