New Skies Satellites [NYSE: NSK] has signed a multi-year, multi-transponder deal with Indian telecom company Reliance Infocomm, enabling Reliance to offer international long-distance telephone services to the United States.

The bundled offering includes multiple transponders on the NSS-703 satellite, uplinking/downlinking services at New Skies’ partner mediaport northwest of London, and local loop as well as trans-Atlantic fiber capacity linking the European gateway with Reliance’s facility in New York City
