Satellite broadcast provider GlobeCast has begun supplying all-soccer channel GOL TV with program origination, production studios, satellite uplink and capacity. The service is provided from GlobeCast’s Digital Broadcast Center in Miami.

GlobeCast, a subsidiary of France Telecom [NYSE: FT], is the world’s largest provider of satellite transmission and production services for professional broadcast, enterprise multimedia and Internet content delivery. A subsidiary of Uruguay-based Tenfield, GOL TV launched in late 2002 as the first U.S. all- soccer network broadcast in Spanish. The service is distributed via satellite to cable and satellite providers across the United States.
