German general interest channels Sat 1, Pro 7 and Kabel 1 will get new managing directors after the planned unification of Sat 1 and Pro Sieben Media. According to a statement, the future board of directors at Pro Sieben Sat 1 Media has decided that Sat 1 will be headed from November 1 by Martin Hoffman, since 1998 deputy to managing director of programming Fred Kogel, who joins the board of the new TV company. Kabel 1’s current managing director Nicolas Paalzow will become the successor of Pro 7 head Urs Rohner, the future chairman of Pro Sieben Sat 1 Media.
