CNBC is to launch a dedicated Nordic channel in early May of this year. The service will feature a tailored ticker running along the bottom of the screen with stock price data from leading European exchanges as well as Nordic stock prices, and an hourly Nordic news round up produced by Nordic TV Business News (NBN) at a purpose-built studio in Copenhagen. Nordic TV Business News, whose main shareholder is Danish investor Søren Tholstrup, will invest DKr30-50 million (Euro 4-7 million) in the project, with revenue from distribution fees, advertising and sponsorship.
