SpacePath Provides Solid-State Uplink Amplifiers for Asian Telco

SpacePath Communications, a satcom amplifier manufacturer and equipment supplier, signed an agreement to supply an Asian telecommunications company with its Solid-State Power Amplifiers (SSPA). The deal has an order value of approximately $699,000 (530,000 pounds).

SpacePath’s SSPAs are based on Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology, and will be be used in a regional, enterprise communications network. SpacePath’s uplink amplifiers cover all mission-critical segments including satellite news-gathering, flyaway or truck-based systems, fixed-earth stations, and military satellite communications.

SpacePath Communications Managing Director and Co-Founder Newton Burnet, commented: “We’re delighted to have been selected to support this significant infrastructure project with our solid-state amplifiers. This latest order is testimony to our credentials as a provider of choice among system vendors throughout the telecommunications and satcom market.”
