FCC to Vote on Dedicated Spectrum for Satellite

Ajit Pai, head of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) said in a blog post this week that the FCC will vote on providing 4 GHz of spectrum exclusively for satellite use on Nov. 16. The spectrum would be separate from another 1,700 MHz made available for terrestrial wireless use, he said. Some in the wireless industry have already voiced complaints — so what does this mean for the ongoing spectrum battle?
