[Via Satellite 09-03-2015] Gilat Satcom has started offering advanced access to Intelsat EpicNG High Throughput Satellite (HTS) services for customers in Africa. The company is providing customers with EpicNG contracts with HTS cost per MB on existing satellites, followed by an automatic upgrade to the EpicNG HTS service once it is live. In addition, Gilat Satcom customers will not need to redirect antennas or replace equipment to access the HTS service. Intelsat EpicNG begins launching in 2016.
