[Via Satellite 10-01-2014] Unity Bank has partnered with SkyVision Global Networks for the satellite-based SkyVision Virtual Private Network (VPN) to connect its 236 branch offices to its headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. The service enables rural offices to connect to the bank’s Local Area Network (LAN) through SkyVision’s local Nigerian hub.

SkyVision deployed the VPN and will manage the system for Unity Bank. In addition to Unity Bank, the company has recently partnered with other financial institutions such as UnaCoopec and Bank of Africa.

“SkyVision plans to further expand its finance and micro-finance penetration within Nigeria and across Africa,” said Dror Limor, VP sales and marketing, SkyVision.
