[Via Satellite 05-01-2014] TelOne, Zimbabwe’s government-owned national telephone company, has signed a contract with Avanti Communications to deliver broadband services to the consumer, enterprise and public sectors through Avanti’s Hylas 2 satellite.

“Our goal at TelOne is to provide quality broadband services to a diverse customer base in Zimbabwe,” said Chipo Mtasa, managing director at TelOne. “With significant unmet demand in terms of service availability and quality, our partnership with Avanti enables us to effectively address this need today.”
