[Via Satellite 03-31-2014] Cytta Corp. has announced the expansion of its open source remote connectivity platform to the oil and gas industry, and will introduce its remote monitoring connectivity technology to the industry immediately. Cytta’s Special Purpose Network and mobile device solution, though designed for use in the healthcare industry, remotely monitors data regardless of the source. The company’s integration of cellular, Wi-Fi and satellite communication systems offers a global, low-cost solution that will be useful in the oil and gas industry for monitoring data from the remote well site.

Cytta has also signed an agreement with MachLink Corp., a company dedicated to protecting rural environments.

“We believe in open collaboration and MachLink’s current focus on commercial oil and gas clients utilizing leading edge communication and patented wireless imaging and data technologies provides a significant opportunity for Cytta Oil and Gas and MachLink to integrate our capabilities and offer unique world class M2M solutions to an already developed client base,” stated Erik Stephansen, president of Cytta Corp.
