Gazprom Space Systems Charts Long-Term Goals for 2020

[Via Satellite 12-30-13] Gazprom Space Systems’ board of directors has unanimously approved several long-term company goals for development until 2020.

The company will continue to build and sustain its fleet of Yamal communications satellites. Its newest satellite, Yamal 401, is currently planned to launch in 2014, and will cover continental Russia and several adjacent countries. The SMOTR aerospace monitoring system will continue developing Earth observation technology for monitoring remote industrial facilities, and the company also plans construct more facilities to further spacecraft assembly and manufacturing goals.
