Inmarsat Selects TS2 for Authorized Partnership in Poland

By | June 3, 2011
[Satellite TODAY 06-03-11] Polish satellite services provider TS2 is now an authorized distributor of Inmarsat satellite communications technologies after the two companies finalized a partnership agreement on June 2. TS2 will now offer a range of Inmarsat products services in Poland, including BGAN, IsatPhone Pro, SwiftBroadband, FleetBroadband and Inmarsat C.
TS2 and Inmarsat also said the partnership would see the two companies work together to develop solutions to restore communications in emergency situations, data and voice encryption, communication at sea, radio communication, telemetry, vessel monitoring and tracking, video-conferences, enterprise networks and other services of satellite data and voice transfer.
“Satellite communication offered by TS2 is particularly useful in conditions where traditional communication is difficult or impossible, for example due to a lack of adequate infrastructure on the ground. This has particular significance for defense needs. In cases of participation in armed conflicts and peacekeeping missions, having encrypted communications and data transmission systems is a necessity. At the same time, they should operate independently of local telecommunications infrastructure,” TS2 said in a company statement.
