Kymeta secured an order from a branch within the U.S. Department of Defense for 100 Osprey u8 multi-orbit satcom terminals worth $20 million.
The award announced Tuesday includes multi-orbit connectivity services on the company’s global Kymeta Broadband (KBB) network, which includes Geostationary Orbit (GEO) and Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) connectivity.
With this latest order, Kymeta has now delivered more than $30 million in terminals and connectivity services to this specific branch within the DoD in 2026. Kymeta did not share the specific department of the DoD due to security concerns.
The company says with the completion of this order, its satcom solutions are ready and available to the U.S. forces for any operational requirements. It has delivered more than 100 Osprey u8 terminals that are capable of switching between transmission security (TRANSEC) and non-TRANSEC networks.
