Neo Space Group and Hughes Network Systems have deployed three new Hughes ground gateways in Saudi Arabia and Europe to support NSG’s in-flight connectivity. NSG on Monday announced new gateways with the Jupiter 3 ground system, located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Sintra, Portugal; and the Canary Islands.

These gateways support NSG’s expanding its in-flight connectivity portfolio. The gateway architecture is designed for dynamic capacity allocation across beams and seamless roaming across coverage zones to provide consistent service quality for airlines operating across multiple regions, the companies said.

NSG reported its in-flight connectivity system delivered speeds of more than 100 Mbps in initial flight testing, with peak speeds up to approximately 200 Mbps.

“Through our collaboration with Neo Space Group, we are enabling a robust regional network powered by NSG Satcom, designed to deliver reliable, high-capacity connectivity across key global aviation routes. This reflects our continued commitment to advancing satellite-enabled mobility solutions worldwide,” commented Ramesh Ramaswamy, executive vice president at Hughes Network Systems.
