Eutelsat’s U.S. government service provider Eutelsat Network Solutions has added the Get SAT Aero Blade terminal to its lineup, to give more multi-orbit options to government and defense customers.
Aero Blade is a low profile military aviation satcom terminal that can support both Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) and Geostationary (GEO) connectivity. It can be used for both crewed aircraft and UAVs. Get SAT noted it has delivered multi-orbit products to both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force that demonstrated the field-readiness of the Aero Blade terminal.
Under a Tuesday announcement, the terminals are now certified and formally integrated for Eutelsat’s LEO network. The partners explained the benefits that the terminal allows for intelligent path selection for data traffic, multi-orbit switching for redundancy, and the global connectivity reach of the OneWeb constellation.
“The core of this partnership is freedom of choice and operational resilience,” said Kfir Benjamin, CEO of Get SAT. “Our Aero Blade series allows operators to leverage the low latency and high throughput of Eutelsat’s OneWeb LEO constellation alongside the reach of other GEO networks all through a single, compact terminal.”
