Infostellar and Fusic have an ambitious aim to deliver a new software-defined ground system model to customers in Japan and worldwide, thanks to a new partnership. For Infostellar, it will be looking to bring new AI and IoT elements into the mix by working with Fusic.
Infostellar provides a cloud ground-station network, StellarStation, along with deep operational experience and a broad network of domestic and international satellite operators. Fusic has a strong expertise in AWS-based cloud infrastructure, AI, IoT, and experience delivering projects for government agencies and commercial players in the space sector. The two companies announced the partnership, Nov. 25.
The two companies will jointly promote the cloud transformation of ground systems in Japan’s space sector and strengthen competitiveness in global markets.
“As the space industry enters a major turning point, it is highly meaningful for us to work with Infostellar to create the next standard for ground systems. We have long leveraged cloud computing, AI, and other technologies to support a wide range of projects with government agencies and companies in the space sector. Through this collaboration, we hope to combine our strengths to further advance the cloud transformation of ground systems and jointly create entirely new forms of ground-system solutions,” Sadayoshi Notomi, president and CEO of Fusic, said in a statement.
