Leaf Space and Infostellar have signed a new agreement to make Infostellar the exclusive representative of Leaf Space to the Japanese market for its ground segment as-as-a-service (GSaaS) offering.
Under the memorandum of understanding announced Tuesday, Infostellar, headquartered in Tokyo, will be responsible for marketing, business development, and channel engagement with satellite operators in Japan, leveraging its relationships and insight into the local market.
Leaf Space, based in Italy, operates a network of 36 ground stations in 19 locations around the world and says it is the second-largest GSaaS provider in terms of minutes of connectivity provided, behind KSAT.
Leaf Space plans to integrate with Infostellar’s StellarStation platform to give satellite operators access to Leaf Space assets via Infostellar’s ground-station virtualization layer. The companies will jointly set benchmarks for uptime, scheduling performance, and service level agreements.
“This MoU represents a milestone in Infostellar’s mission to expand access to world-class ground segment services. By representing Leaf Space exclusively in Japan, we can deliver broader service choices to our customers while ensuring seamless integration and support within the Japanese space ecosystem,” said Infostellar CEO Naomi Kurahara.
