ST Engineering iDirect Intuition Platform.

ST Engineering iDirect has opened general availability of its Intuition 1.1 next-generation ground system, with new capabilities to improve efficiency for satellite operations. Intuition is the company’s cloud-native, multi-orbit ground segment architecture, and the first version was released last year. 

The company says that the cloud-native architecture and XBB baseband solution can reduce hardware requirements by up to 70%. It integrates its Mx-DMA MRC return waveform technology with global bandwidth management for dynamic multi-orbit bandwidth pooling. It also allows for operators to adopt emerging 3GPP standards.
