Satellite ground network provider Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) is expanding its business to offering end-to-end mission services for satellite operators to access mission operations, ground network, and data delivery in one service.
KSAT announced Integrated Mission Services (IMS) on Monday, saying it will help small and large satellite constellations scale efficiently, reduce operational overhead, and ensure resilient performance across expanding fleets.
KSAT is offering a “pay-as-you-grow” model for operators to add capacity as needs change. The service bundles launch support, satellite operations, and mission monitoring.
“Every mission relies on a reliable ground backbone to operate, connect, and deliver insights from space,” said Marte Indregard, executive vice president of Ground Network at KSAT. “With Integrated Mission Services, we are giving satellite owners a cost-efficient and resilient way to keep their satellites online while allowing them to concentrate on their payload capabilities and downstream growth.”
KSAT supports customers like the European Space Agency’s Arctic Weather Satellite, GHGSat’s greenhouse-gas monitoring constellation, and the Arctic Satellite Broadband Mission.
