Assured Space Access Technologies is rolling out a new phased array antenna system designed for missile defense radar operations and space communications.

Assured Space announced the CapLink Array on Monday, explaining it is designed with a “proprietary capacitive dipole element design in a novel configuration,” for wide frequency bandwidth and high gain.

The CapLink Array is designed to support mission profiles including missile defense radar, ground-based radar systems, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), space situational awareness, and high-speed satcom links. For space-based applications, it is able to support data transmission up to 3.5 Gbps, with potential for higher rates using advanced ground equipment.

This comes after Assured Space recently announced plans for a Phased Array Center of Excellence in Melbourne, Florida, a new facility to manufacture and test phased array technology, RF antenna systems, and 5G architectures.

“This technology represents a major step forward for both defense and commercial space operations,” said Sean McDaniel, president and CEO of Assured Space. “By combining advanced engineering with flexible design, CapLink Array delivers unmatched versatility and reliability to missions that demand precision, speed, and resilience.”
