Slingshot Aerospace is rolling out a new simulation tool, an AI-powered agent that can imitate satellite actions in training and simulation environments. Called “Talos” — the Thinking Agent for Logical Operations and Strategy — Slingshot said it is designed to learn and replicate tactics like space warfare maneuvers and dogfighting strategies.

The U.S. Space Force recently used Talos in training exercises, Slingshot said on July 29. The 57th Space Aggressors Squadron recently used Talos during the unit’s training mission to simulate threat behaviors, shape scenarios, and inform planning.

Slingshot described Talos as able to evaluate surroundings, “reason through potential strategies and tactics, and execute its objective within a simulated, physics-accurate orbital environment.”

The product builds on Slingshot’s collaboration with the U.S. Space Force’s Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI). It also uses Slingshot’s space object tracking and mission intelligence datasets, Seradata.

“Space has become an integral warfighting domain, and AI-powered training and simulation capabilities will ensure the U.S., and its allies, are prepared for any relevant warfighting scenario,” said Tim Solms, CEO of Slingshot Aerospace. “It embeds AI agents that simulate realistic threats, optimize real-world operations, and support mission command decision-making with unprecedented speed and precision.”
