Reticulate Micro Introduces Reticulate Space Business Focused on Satcom

      Reticulate Micro has formed a new business segment called Reticulate Space focused on multi-orbit satellite communications management technologies. 

      Reticulate Micro is a commercial and defense technology company that is building a quantum-protected open-systems platforms for video streaming, simplified terminal management and satellite mobile connectivity in austere environments. 

      Reticulate Space will focus on defense and selective commercial opportunities, including first responders, broadcasters, and in-flight connectivity and mobility providers. It will offer the company’s open-source architecture approach and its video compression technology. The company described it as “forging a future where content and transport technologies can come together and drive the next generation of multi-orbit connectivity.”

      “Launching Reticulate Space greatly expands the addressable market for our products. This was a strategic decision for our company to move up the value chain in our core market of resilient communications,” said Joshua Cryer, Reticulate Micro president and CEO. “Critically, we have recruited a world-class management team of industry insiders with extensive customer relationships and deep insight into their needs.”

      David Horton will serve as president of Reticulate Space. Horton has worked for EMS Technologies Defense & Space (Honeywell), Panasonic Avionics, TECOM Industries, and Lockheed Martin. Mark Steel, who has worked on the Inmarsat Global Xpress broadband network will serve as CTO. Paul Scardino, who has held senior leadership roles at Comtech, L3Harris Technologies, and Speedcast, will serve as chief strategy officer.
