[Via Satellite 05-10-2016] EchoStar reported consolidated revenues of $816 million for its first quarter 2016 financial results ended March 31, up $17 million compared to $799 million in the first quarter of 2015. The company’s Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBIDTA) were $223 million compared to $214 million in the first quarter of 2015.

EchoStar’s Technologies Corp. division generated the most revenue with $385.1 million for the quarter compared to 346.2 million in 2015’s Q1. EchoStar Satellite services reported $103 million in Q1 2016 revenues compared to $125.4 million for Q1 2015, and Hughes Network Systems brought in $326.2 million compared to $325.3 million. HughesNet subscribers reached approximately 1,038,000 as of March 31, 2016 compared to 998,000 subscribers as of March 31, 2015.
