[Via Satellite 10-20-2015] Globecast has ordered NovelSat NS3 products for use in distributing video from major events worldwide by satellite. Globecast is a global company that distributes video from live news and sporting events in Standard Definition (SD), High Definition (HD) and 4K. The company is now adding NovelSat satellite transmission solutions to its existing capabilities.

NovelSat NS3 increases data rates by more than 30 percent compared with many existing modulators, demodulators and modems, according to the company. The products enable improved spectral efficiency, along with better network reliability and availability in extreme conditions, and more effective handling of channel impairments such as phase noise, non-linearity, jamming and interference.
