[Via Satellite 08-08-2014] Comtech Telecommunications subsidiary Comtech Systems has been awarded a $2.3 million contract to upgrade a troposcatter system for an undisclosed international oil company. Through the contract, Comtech Systems will provide 20Mbps CS67200i modems, solid-state high-power amplifiers (SSPAs) and antennas.
Troposcatter systems are used to communicate between shore facilities and offshore facilities. The upgrade will improve the oil and gas customer’s voice, video and data traffic.
