Comtech has hired a new C-suite of leadership for its Satellite and Space Communications (“S&S”) segment as part of the company’s transformation plan. Three new leaders — Steve Black as COO, Mark Dale as CTO, and Brent Norman as CFO will report to S&S segment President Daniel Gizinski. Comtech announced the appointments on July 9.
Black joined Comtech in May and was previously vice president and general manager of General Dynamics’ Advanced Manufacturing Group, with previous leadership roles at L3Harris. Black will oversee and optimize operational processes for the segment to deliver products on accelerated timelines.
Dale has been with Comtech for two years and recently served as a senior technical fellow. He previously worked for Comtech EF Data, Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Viasat, and Broadcom. As CTO, he is tasked with leading engineering teams to design and deploy next-generation satellite communications solutions and work on technology roadmaps and architectures.
New CFO Norman has held financial leadership roles at General Dynamics and L3Harris and will focus on strengthening the segment’s financial foundation.
“Their combined expertise in operations, technology, and finance will be instrumental in driving our strategic transformation, meeting our near-term objectives, and positioning Comtech to achieve long-term growth,” Gizinski commented.
CEO Ken Traub commented that these appointments “bring together a diverse set of expertise and leadership that will be instrumental in delivering exceptional value to customers worldwide and pursuing strategic initiatives.”
