Maritime connectivity provider Pulsar International will roll out Inmarsat Maritime’s NexusWave service across 300 vessels, the companies announced last week. Installations will start in October.

NexusWave is a multi-network maritime connectivity service that combines Geostationary Orbit (GEO) Ka-band, Low-Earth Orbit (LEO), LTE and L-band. Inmarsat Maritime is a Viasat company.

Pulsar was the first company appointed as a NexusWave partner in the Mediterranean market, and has a track record of successful NexusWave installations. As part of the 300-vessel rollout, Pulsar is expanding its global and local sales teams, and its project management and service delivery capabilities.

“Our customers expect solutions that are secure, dependable and future-ready, enabling both the operational performance of their fleets and the well-being of their crews. By investing in our workforce and expanding our local sales teams, and our project management and service delivery capabilities, Pulsar is committed to ensuring every NexusWave installation delivers maximum value from day one,” commented Robert Sakker, president and CEO of Pulsar International.
