GomSpace A/S and the Spanish company Aistech signed a contract for six standard nanosatellites platforms and the assembly, integration, and verification of AISTECH’s 10 Danu spacecraft, to be built on GomSpace platforms. The contract also includes other engineering services, such as pre-launch environmental testing.

“This contract is a major milestone in the development and deployment of our Danu constellation. The first ten satellites shall be in orbit by mid-2019, providing cost-efficient data and connectivity services to customers across the globe” said Aistech Chief Executive Officer Guillermo Valenzuela.

The contract is a follow-on order of four platforms ordered in September 2017. The new contract is valued at approximately 1.4 million euros ($1.6 million).
