Aerospace technology developer Atos has rolled out its lightweight, compact Protection Unit for Satellite Testing (ProUST) univerSAS satellite power testing system to market, the company announced July 5. It the first product Atos has launched since its acquisition of Siemens Convergence Creators in January.

The ProUST univerSAS protection unit aims to improve high-volume satellite production by increasing the speed and efficiency of testing, while adhering to industry quality and safety standards.

Atos said the unit is uniquely designed to be able to test numerous power configurations for solar array, battery, and load simulations in one single device. This capability would allow manufacturers to meet more ambitious high-volume production loads and adapt from traditional, mostly manual assembly processes, saving on space requirements and costs.
