Amadeus IT Group, a travel technology provider that supports airlines and airports, will integrate Spire Global’s aviation intelligence and data into its cloud platform used in airport operations.
Under a deal announced this week, Spire’s multi-source ground and space-based data will enable real-time aircraft visibility within Amadeus’ Virtual Airport Operations Center (vAPOC). This will ensure the platform can provide continuous aircraft visibility on ground for airport operations. It’s used by airlines and ground handlers to make data-driven decisions about operations.
According to Spire, the company worked closely with Amadeus and progressed from an initial proof-of-concept to a live deployment.
“Leveraging Spire Aviation’s global ground and space-based ADS-B network, the platform delivers complete worldwide coverage that enables optimized traffic flow, enhanced situational awareness and agile responses to operational changes during daily operations and at the time of disruptions,” says Abhishek Krishna, Head of Data, AI, and Platform Product Management, Amadeus.
