ViaLite Wins Expanded L-Band Links Order from Emirates Teleport Operator

Ground systems technology company ViaLite Communications won an expanded order for ViaLiteHD L-band links from an unnamed teleport operator in the United Arab Emirates. In a May 19th announcement, ViaLite said the expanded agreement comes after 15 years of business with the customer through its regional distributor, Symbolise.

The Emirates-based teleport operator will use the L-band links to assist in the expansion of its live TV broadcast services in the region. The installed systems are configured in dual redundancy mode with seamless switchover to ensure maximum uptime.

ViaLite said the UAE customer had been using its legacy RF over fiber systems for over 15 years without encountering any issues.  “Supporting live traffic 24 hours a day, seven days a week, is just the type of environment you can rely on with our equipment,” said ViaLite Business Development Manager Amair Khan.

Financial details of the order were not disclosed.
