Canadian Armed Forces Awards Harris Corporation $159 Million IDIQ Contract

      [Via Satellite 11-17-2014] The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) have selected Harris Corporation for a four-year $159 million Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Harris Falcon 3 radios. The company will supply secure tactical radio systems such as the AN/PRC-152A wideband handheld radio, the AN/PRC- 117G wideband manpack radio and the RF-7800H high-frequency manpack radio to Canada’s Department of National Defence for modernization programs under the National Individual Standing Offer (NISO).
      Harris Corp.’s AN/PRC-152A and AN/PRC-117G radios are software-defined and upgradeable. They support applications such as streaming video, simultaneous voice and data feeds, collaborative chat and connectivity to secure networks.
