[Satellite Today 09-26-08] NSSL won a contract to provide Internet services to U.K. military personnel, the company said Sept. 26.
Under the agreement with Paradigm Services Ltd., NSSL will provide welfare Internet services as an extension to the Inmarsat-based services already provided to Paradigm for its Skynet 5 service.
NSSL will provide voice and broadband services for personnel on selected Minor War Vessels, Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels, support ships and submarines. The solution includes Internet access and 30 minutes of voice communications per sailor, per week.
