[09-21-07 – Satellite Today]  TeleCommunications Systems Inc. has been awarded a $6.7 million contract from the U.S. Marine Corps to provide communications products and services, the company announced Sept. 20.

The contract will support Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom and includes options that could make the contract worth up to $64 million.

The order was placed under the Army Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical Commercial Satellite Terminal Program and  the Army’s World-Wide Satellite Systems contract vehicle.
