[Via Satellite 09-09-13] O3b Networks has delayed the launch of its second group of four satellites. Originally scheduled for liftoff on Sept. 30 by Arianespace from French Guiana, the launch has been postponed to allow time for further testing. A new launch date, expected to be in the first quarter of 2014, will be confirmed in due course.
The satellites are a part of O3b Networks’ next generation satellite network, which enables its customers in emerging markets to extend their range and reach of service through fast, flexible and affordable connectivity. The first four satellites successfully launched on June 25, 2013 and are operating successfully in orbit.
