Iridium Communications appointed U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Peter Dawkins (Ret.) to its board of directors, the company announced.
Dawkins, who is a founder and principal of ShiningStar Capital, previously servced as vice chairman of global wealth management for Citigroup, vice chairman of the Citigroup Private Bank and executive vice president and vice chairman of Travelers Insurance during an eleven-year tenure with the firm.
During his military career, Dawkins served as military assistant to the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense and was selected as a White House fellow.
