Eutelsat has won further broadcast business in Central and Eastern Europe. It has signed a renewal deal with Antik Sat, the DTH television platform operated by Antik Telecom, and A1, one of Central and Eastern Europe’s leading communications providers. The new multi-transponder agreement reinforces the companies’ commitment to deliver television services to households across Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Eutelsat announced the deal on Oct. 14.
A1 will deliver headend hosting, uplink and associated broadcast services, while Antik Sat will leverage the platform to serve its growing subscriber base with a comprehensive line-up of television content.
“This agreement secures the foundation of our Antik Sat television platform and ensures continuity for our customers across Slovakia. By combining Eutelsat’s proven satellite infrastructure with A1’s technical expertise and service capabilities, we can continue to provide a compelling television offering and a high-quality viewing experience,” Vlastimil Lakatoš, chief product officer of Antik Telecom, said, in a statement.
