Arabsat has signed a new deal with Libya Telecom and Technology (LTT) as Libya looks to develop its digital communications infrastructure. Libya has a population of around 7.5 million people. It will combine Arabsat’s satellite infrastructure and regional coverage with LTT’s ability to deliver satellite communications solutions across Libya. The two organizations announced the deal late last week.
Arabsat will provide High Throughput Satellite (HTS) capacity on Arabsat-6A st 30.5 degrees east to support LTT’s existing and future connectivity requirements. The partnership also creates a platform for both organizations to explore new opportunities for collaboration, expand service capabilities, and deliver innovative solutions that address the evolving needs of government, enterprise, telecommunications operators, and other critical sectors.
“The signing of this agreement marks an important milestone in our collaboration with Arabsat. By combining Arabsat’s advanced satellite capabilities with LTT’s national expertise, we will strengthen our communications infrastructure, enhance service quality, and deliver reliable connectivity solutions that support the evolving needs of our customers and the future development of Libya’s digital economy,” Ammar Al-Bouzaidi, Chairman of the Board, LTT, said in a statement.
