Eutelsat Secures Broadcast Renewal in Latin America With Cable Color

Eutelsat Group signed a multi-year renewal with Cable Color for satellite capacity to continue broadcast services in Latin America. Cable Color, based in Honduras, is a longtime customer of Eutelsat’s. The deal announced Aug. 22 continues service on the Eutelsat 117 West A satellite.

The 117 degrees West location is the premium TV neighborhood for Latin America, offering pan-regional distribution of major networks and content providers. 300 TV channels, 50 in HD, are currently broadcast to around 110 million TV homes. It is also a growing free-to-air TV neighborhood with 100 TV channels broadcasting in the clear. 

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
