[Via Satellite 09-22-2015] Cobham Satcom has released two new Sailor navigation receivers for the company’s “Multi-Function Universe” ecosystem: the Sailor 656X Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and the 657X Differential GNSS (DGNSS).

The black-box products collect satellite data and distribute it to a variety of onboard systems such as the Electronic Chart Display System (ECDIS), Integrated Navigation System (INS), Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), Satellite Communication System (Satcom), Master Clock Systems (MCS), and Telephone Exchanges (PABX). An advanced touch-screen Sailor 6004 control panel forms the heart of the Multi-Function Universe, providing full control for all products connected to it from a single device.

The Sailor 656X GNSS and Sailor 657X DGNSS join the already available Sailor 6391 Navtex and Sailor 628X AIS as next generation Sailor products designed to work with the Sailor 6004 control panel.
