[Via Satellite 07-07-2014] German telecommunications provider StarDSL AG has entered into a multi-million dollar contract with Avanti to use the Hylas 1 and Hylas 2 satellites. The new contract expands StarDSL AG’s satellite broadband service to consumer and enterprise markets in more than 20 countries. Turkish telecommunications company ESER Telekom has also signed a contract with Avanti for additional capacity. The expanded agreement enables ESER to deploy Ka-band service to meet a government contract for international connectivity in the Middle East.
