In-flight entertainment provider, Global Eagle Entertainment and China Telecom Satellite Communications recently signed a memorandum of understanding, in which Global Eagle will assist China Telecom in providing an in-flight connectivity (IFC) service for Chinese airlines and airline customers who fly into and over China.

 

Row 44, Global Eagle’s subsidiary, will provide its satellite-based IFC platform to the company’s new Chinese partners. Row 44 will also assist in increasing passenger loyalty and onboard revenues for the Chinese airlines.

 

Financial terms for the China Telecom partnership have not been released.
