[Satellite TODAY 11-23-12] Canadian satellite, RF equipment and microwave systems manufacturer Advantech Wireless’ audited financial results for its 2012 full-year period ending April 30 exceeded expectations, as operation profits are in line with previous year results, the company announced Nov. 23.
Advantech Wireless CEO David Gelerman said the company was able to weather the severe global economic downturn by posting another net profit among increased sales.
“We are especially happy by the fact that we have now realized two consecutive profitable years of growth,” Gelerman said in a statement. “This proves that Advantech Wireless is heading in the right direction with increased customer confidence in our innovative cost-effective solutions. In addition, through increased marketing with international seminars and tradeshows, we have successfully launched world leading GaN-based technology transmitters (HPA, BUCS and SSPA) and an amazing new line of VSAT Discovery hubs based on our patent pending, versatile and lowest total cost of ownership, Adaptive Satellite Access Technologies (A-SAT).”
Gelerman noted that the company’s first two quarters continue to be profitable and bookings have increased 48 percent in the first six months of the current fiscal year. “Expectations are such that this trend will result in another profitable year,” said Gelerman.
