UAE satellite broadcaster YahLive has signed a long-term partnership agreement with free-to-air (FTA) Arabic TV channel Tawazon TV to broadcast the network in HD through its satellite service.
The agreement not only allows for YahLive viewers in the Middle East and North Africa to access Tawazon TV programs from the 52.5 degrees East orbital slot, but also allows for Tawazon TV viewers to watch their regular programming in HD. The Tawazon TV channel is owned by Lootah Television & Advertising and offers feature news, entertainment and specialty programs.
“Our new HD partnership with Tawazon TV is another example of YahLive’s strategic vision to become the HD hotspot for the region as it offers TV viewers a greater bouquet of viewing options,” YahLive CEO Mohamed Youssif said in a statement. “The addition of Tawazon Arabic TV to our broadcast offerings means that Arab viewers across the region have the opportunity to experience their favorite Tawazon TV shows in HD quality.”
