[Satellite TODAY 08-06-12] Independent Polish telecommunications company Info TV is installing a national network of Harris DVB-T2-ready Maxiva UAX television transmitters to support a new DVB-T network for mobile applications, the broadcaster announced Aug. 3.
Info TV said the Harris DVB-T transmission network would comprise of 21 locations across Poland to support the first subscription digital terrestrial television (DTT) service from Polish broadcaster Polsat Group. The service launch coincided with the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship (Euro 2012), which was held during the past two months.
“Three years ago, Info TV worked with Harris to deploy a network of 30 Harris transmitters, which have performed so reliably that the customer turned to us once more to deliver state-of-the-art technology again” Harris Broadcast Communications Vice President and General Manager Philip Argyris said in a statement. “This is another strategic win for Harris transmitters in Europe: one that demonstrates yet again the strength of the Harris transmitter product portfolio.”
