Comtech said the Asian operator would deploy its CDM-625 advanced satellite modem and memotec’s CX-U series RAN optimization to support the upgrade and expansion of a satellite-based mobile backhaul network.

   “By leveraging our best in class optimization technologies, this mobile network operator can facilitate a sustainable and profitable network expansion,” Comtech President and CEO Fred Kornberg said in a statement. “The combination of advanced technologies enables users to minimize OpEx/CapEx and maximize throughput/availability without using additional transponder resources.”
