[Satellite TODAY 10-27-11]  Boeing had a fall in revenues from its Networks & Space Systems (N&SS) division in its fourth quarter results, issued Jan. 25. While overall the revenues from Boeing’s Defense, Space and Security division increased compared with the same time last year, revenues from N&SS side fell by almost 20 percent compared with the same time last year.

   Revenues from N&SS were around $1.97 billion. This compares with $2.43 billion at the same stage the previous year. This was attributed to lower volume driven by termination of the Brigade Combat Team Modernization program.

   During the quarter, N&SS was awarded the development and sustainment contract for ground-based Midcourse Defense from the U.S. Missile Defense Agency. Also during the quarter, N&SS delivered the first 702 medium power satellite.
