[Satellite TODAY 12-15-11] SES is reorganizing its global sales divisions into four regions, each with a dedicated management team, the satellite operator announced Dec. 14.
The four regions will be designated as Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia-Pacific/India/Middle East. Elias Zaccack will head the Americas division. Ferenc Szelényi will be in charge of the Europe division. Ibrahima Guimba-Saidou will lead the Africa team and Deepak Mathur will manage the Asia Pacific/India/Middle East unit. All four executives report to SES CCO Ferdinand Kayser.
Separately, SES announced that Senior Vice President of Global Sales Scott Sprague has decided to leave company. Ferenc Szelényi has already been nominated to replace Sprague in the position.
“This organization and these nominations are another step on our way to consolidate our strong position in Europe and North America while focusing our attention on the emerging markets, where a lot of the future growth for SES is coming from,” SES President and CEO Romain Bausch said in a statement. “We regret that Scott will not be part of our team going forward any more. We thank him for his enormous contribution to the development of SES throughout many years as a top sales executive and we wish him well for his future.”
