[Satellite TODAY 10-31-11]Managed mobile TV and video services provider MobiTV has introduced its TV Everywhere solution for cable, satellite and IPTV service providers, the company confirmed Oct. 28.

   MobiTV said it developed TV Everywhere to provide video delivery solutions for mobile devices, personal computers and other Internet-enabled consumer electronics based on the company’s existing cloud-based video distribution platform. The end-to-end managed service is adaptable for integration with existing TV infrastructure and back-end systems and will be supported 24/7 by a technical team at MobiTV’s network operations center.

   “MobiTV built its technology with a focus on delivering live television optimized for mobile devices. By pre-packaging all the necessary components — content ingestion, technology platform, device integration and DRM support — we’ve taken what’s typically a very complex and expensive project for a TV operator and made it simple, affordable and easy to launch,” MobiTV Co-Founder and President Paul Scanlan said in a statement.
